Counselling & Psychotherapy
The basic principles of my work are humanistic.
I aim to provide a safe and non judgemental place where you can explore any issues that are impacting on your life. This is an approach which tries to do justice to the whole person, including mind body and spirit. As a humanistic Psychotherapist I recognize our self healing ability and I believe the greatest expert on the client is the client, therefore I work for an authentic meeting of equals in the therapy relationship.
What to expect
Psychotherapy can have benefits and risks. Since therapy often involves discussing unpleasant aspects of your life, you may experiences uncomfortable feelings like sadness, guilt, anger, frustration, loneliness and helplessness. On the other hand, psychotherapy has also been shown to lead to better relationships, solutions to specific problems, and significant reductions in feelings of distress. But there are no guarantees of what you will experience.
